Desent started out as a sculpture concept. I wanted to create something that would encapsulate both the atmosphere of the inspiration piece as well as the dynamic propety of the sound. And so the concept has mutated into this- a rotating structure of wire and thread the beginnings of which you see here. The idea is to capture the feeling of spiraling down to the ocean floor. There are no gears yet, no wire- only bead and thread, but everything has to begin somewhere.
